Barbara Roberge, PhD, GNP is a practicing Geriatric Nurse Practitioner with over 30 years of experience in caring for the elderly. Dr. Roberge was a founding member of MGH Senior Health primary care practice and has extensive experience in the delivery of primary care to older adults. She is the former Director of the Nurse Practitioner Home Health Program, Joseph M. Smith Community Health Center in Brighton, Massachusetts. Dr. Roberge came to Massachusetts General Hospital in 1988 as a Gerontological Clinical Specialist-Nurse Practitioner. As Director of the Medical Home Demonstration Project (2009 – 2016) she led the MGH Senior Health Practice through a successful NCQA Application process. She also served as Director of Quality and Safety MGH Senior Health Practice. Dr. Roberge is on the faculty for the Massachusetts General Hospital Geriatric Fellowship Program, and is a member of the Gerontological Society of America and the American Academy for Nurse Practitioners and also serves on the faculty as an adjunct in the MGH Institute for Health Professions. Currently, Dr. Roberge is also working as a geriatric consultant for the York Hospital System in Maine, where she is helping to establish a geriatric nurse practitioner home visit program and a multidisciplinary geriatric consult practice.
